HACO Industries, one of the region’s leading FMCG manufacturers, is inviting qualified professionals to apply for the position of Head of ICT.
The company manufactures and distributes a wide range of products across East Africa and the COMESA region, including well-known brands such as MIADI, AMARA, SO-SOFT, SPARKLE, ACE, and Haco pegs and rulers. HACO is also the only licensed distributor of Palmer’s in Kenya.
Position Summary
The Head of ICT will play a key role in driving HACO’s digital transformation strategy, ensuring that the company’s systems and infrastructure are efficient, secure, and aligned with business growth objectives.
This position reports directly to the Managing Director and involves strategic planning, digital innovation, and ICT leadership across all departments.

Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement the company’s ICT strategy.
Oversee SAGE ERP performance and system integrations.
Manage IT infrastructure (Cloud, Network, Telephony).
Lead data governance and analytics initiatives.
Drive digital transformation across operations and customer service.
Ensure cybersecurity and data protection compliance.
Introduce emerging technologies (IoT, AI, automation) to improve efficiency.
Manage ICT budgets, vendors, and service-level agreements.
Lead and develop a high-performing ICT team.
Promote sustainability through energy-efficient and responsible e-waste practices.
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (Master’s preferred).
Certifications such as CCNA, AWS/Azure Cloud Architect, CISA, CISSP, or CISM.
At least 8 years of ICT leadership experience, preferably in manufacturing or distribution.
Hands-on experience with SAGE ERP, WMS, Cloud computing, IIoT, and digital automation.
Strong understanding of cybersecurity and data protection frameworks.
Excellent communication, leadership, and project management skills.
