Job Overview
The Human Resource Officer will support the implementation of HR strategies, policies, and procedures to ensure the organization attracts, develops, and retains a motivated and productive workforce.
This position reports to the Human Resource and Administration Manager and involves coordinating key HR administrative functions, ensuring compliance with legal and organizational requirements, and supporting the company’s people strategy.
Key Responsibilities
Assist in the recruitment process — sourcing, shortlisting, and coordinating interviews.
Coordinate the induction process and perform background checks on new hires.
Oversee the staff confirmation process with departmental heads.
Administer staff benefits efficiently and accurately.
Implement internal training plans, ensuring NITA approval and reimbursement claims.
Monitor and implement annual leave plans in line with company policy and labor laws.
Ensure all employees are registered with statutory bodies and dues are remitted promptly.
Maintain complete and updated staff files securely.
Coordinate staff clearance and issuance of certificates of service
Manage attaches, interns, and student contracts.
Maintain an efficient HR records management system.
Collaborate with management to support HR functions and employee relations.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management or a related field.
CHRP certification or IHRM membership preferred.
Minimum 3 years of experience in a busy HR department.
Proven track record in HR strategy and policy implementation.
Strong knowledge of labor laws, employee relations, and manpower planning.
Excellent people management and employee counseling skills.
Strong understanding of ethical and legal HR practices.
